Cultured Curls Black History Month Event

LPF Kiddies Club's presents our 'Cultured Curls'

A Black History Month event where you get the opportunity to rock your natural hair with confidence whilst celebrating the history and culture of African hair care, styling, and adornment.

Join us as we celebrate African and Caribbean culture with a range of fun and engaging hands-on workshops where you get to take home everything you make.

This event is suitable for 7 to 14 years old and children will be provided with all the resources needed to participate in the workshops.

Workshops to include;

• Making hair butters using organic ingredients
• Learning how to style and care for natural afro hair
• Learn how to do basic male grooming, shape-ups, waves and locks
• Make accessorises to style your hair
• Learning how to do headwraps/ headties
• Arts and craft activities
• Learning about the history and culture behind Afro hair care, styling, and      adornment
• Participate in a creative writing session

We are a Bexley Children’s University learning destination so you can come along, enjoy some fantastic learning with us and get your passports stamped in the process

FURTHER INFORMATION:

Please bring a packed lunch, some snacks, and a drink as it will be a full day of workshops and food will not be provided until late at this event.

This is not a drop in style event registration is at 2 and the session ends at 7pm
