About the Event

LPF Kiddies Club's presents our 'Cultured Curls' Black History Month event celebrating the history and culture of African hair care, styling and adornment.

Date: Monday 25th October

Time: 10am till 2pm

Location: Abbeywood Community Centre, Abbeywood, SE2 0YS

Workshops suitable for 9 to 14 year olds

Join us as we celebrate and learn about the history of natural Afro hair care, styling and adornment

Lots of fun and engaging presentations, meaningful discussions and hands on workshops where you get to take home everything you make.

Workshops to include;

  • Making hair butters
  • Learning how to do headwraps
  • Arts and crafts
  • Learning how to care for and style your natural afro hair
  • Learning about the history and culture behind Afro hair care, styling and adornment
