LPF Kiddies Club summer holiday club for 9 to 14 years old children offering an opportunity for children to explore the rich and vibrant art, culture and history of a variety of African and Caribbean countries through a wide range of activities, workshops, day trips and experiences.

About the Event
LPF Kiddies Club's Summer Club is suitable for local children aged 9 to 14 years old to engage in throughout the summer and will offer a great opportunity for children to make new friends, learn new skills and participate in activities which celebrate African and Caribbean arts, culture and history.Â
Summer Club will include:
Play zone every Monday 10am till 4pm (ages 9 -14) Â featuring a range of games, sports activities, arts and crafts sessions. (Please note the playzone will be 12 till 4pm on 21st August).
Workshops to include; cooking classes, soap and candle making, and learning how to use digital media to make films and podcasts.
Thursday Art trails - We will be visiting some of Londons biggest attractions and participating in a variety of art based activities and art trails to explore art in a fun and highly interactive way.
Our programme is packed with a whole load of activites to make learning meaningful and fun for children all through the summer holidays.
Club Fee:Â
Free for Club members  (who have paid membership for 2024/2025)Â
You can become a club member by completing a membership form via our website. Club members who pay the annual membership fee of £35 per family of up to 3 siblings will benefit from discounted and or free club outings activities and events thorughout the duration of their membership. Upon completion of your membership your children will be able to attend this Summer's holiday club for free and you will benefit from the discounted rate on all club activites, outings, workshops and events for 1 year. Please note some days may include additional costs such as travel or entry fees. We will always research the cheapest option and children who are on free school meals will have priority places and all their costs covered to participate in our club.
You will need to complete a membership form and show proof of address and income (in receipt of benefits or no recourse public funds) to access all of our Summer club activities for free.
You will be charged the non Members fee of £16 per day if your child is not a club member or is not elligable for the free places and you opt out of paying the membership fee.
Please complete a membership form for each child when booking your child/rens places for holiday club as your childen may not be allowed to attend club activities if you have not completed your membership. Â
Confirmation of your booking: Once we have recieved your booking we will process it and send you confirmation of the places available for your child/ren. Please note that your child/rens place is not guaranteed if you do not complete a membership form.Â

Non Club members will be charged at the daily rate. We will send you an invoice for the cost of your booking at the rate of £16 per club day which is payable in advance.
Cancelations: Please note we do not offer refunds on places cancelled without atleast 48 hours writen notice.
Please note: There are no club activities on Wednesdays or Fridays this summer holiday.

Day Trip to Tate Modern
This booking is for week one - Thursday 3rd August 2023. Activities: Day trip to Tate Modern Gallery. Drop off: Abbey Wood Train station. 9.30am / Collection 4.30pm. Children will need a packed lunch (no sweets, nuts or fizzy drinks allowed). Children will also need an oyster card which has been topped up with £4 before drop off.

This booking is for week two- Monday 7th August 2023. 10am till 4pm (ages 14-17) Leadership training includes: leadership and confidence skills building, goal setting, CV and personal profile writing, interview skills and more. Every participant who volunteers with us this summer will receive a reference. 12pm-4pm (ages 9 - 14) Play zone- board games, arts and crafts and soap making. Location: Abbey Wood Community Centre. Children will need a packed lunch (no sweets, fizzy drinks or nuts).

This booking is for week three- Monday 14th August 2023. Activities: Play zone- board games, arts and crafts making clay plates. This weeks workshop: learn how to make a film or record podcasts. The film the children make will be screened at our celebration event on 26th August followed by a Q&A session with the children. Drop off: Abbey Wood Community Centre Time: 10am / Collection 3.30pm. Please note: Children will need a packed lunch (no sweets, nuts or fizzy drinks).

This booking is for week three - Tuesday 17th August 2023. Day trip: Canary Wharf art trail. A treasure hunt style trail of the iconic art on display all around Canary Wharf with lots of fun activities and challenges along the way including mini golf and a visit to the roof garden. Drop off: 10am at Abbey Wood Train station. Collection: 4.30pm. Children will need a packed lunch. Children will also need an oyster card which has been topped up with £4 before drop off.

This booking is for week four- Monday 21st August 2023 Activities: Play zone- board games, arts and crafts. This weeks workshop: Caribbean cooking class. Learn how to cook a variety of Caribbean dishes. Drop off: Abbey Wood Community Centre. Time: 12.00pm / Collection 4.00pm. Children will be able to eat what they cook so no packed lunch needed. However we advise to still send children in with a lunch or snacks and a drink.

This booking is for week four - Thursday 24th August 2023. Family Sports Day in the park featuring a range of sport day classics, interactive games and challenges for all the family. Location: Lessness Abbey Park, Abbey Woods Start time: 10am / End time: 4pm. Please note: Children will need a packed lunch with plenty of extra water (no sweets, nuts or fizzy drinks). They will also need to be dressed in sportswear to be able to comfortably participate in activities.
